Snowbird & Seasonal Home Care

An empty house doesn't hold still. Air stops moving, humidity settles in, and dust finds the surfaces you covered on the way out. We handle the whole cycle. The close-down visit strips the beds, empties and props the fridge, clears the pantry of anything that draws pests, and runs the taps so the drain traps don't dry out. Then we check in on a schedule while you're gone and send a photo report each time. Before you fly back, we run a deep clean timed to your arrival, so you land, unlock the door, and the house is ready for company that night.

A bright, spotless home after a snowbird care
What's included

Your snowbird care checklist

The same checklist every visit. That includes the spots your Mother-in-Law checks on her way to the kitchen, and the ones she'd never admit she checked.

  • Close-down visit: beds stripped, fridge emptied and propped
  • Pantry cleared of anything that draws pests
  • Taps run so the drain traps don't dry out
  • Scheduled check-ins while the house sits empty
  • Photo report sent to you after every visit
  • Pre-arrival deep clean timed to your travel date

Ideal for

  • Snowbirds & seasonal residents
  • Second-home owners
  • Anyone away for months at a time

What an empty house does over a season

A house closed up through a warm, humid summer comes back different. Mildew finds the grout and the shower track, the air goes stale, and coastal homes pick up salt film on the door glass. The pre-arrival clean is what saves you the first week back.

Custom quote

We'll price this to your home

Snowbird Care depends on the size of the job and the shape it's in, so we look at it directly rather than guess. Tell us about your place and a clear, flat number comes back fast. You approve it before anyone touches a surface. Then we clean it to the standard your Mother-in-Law would, the one where she runs a finger along the trim and finds nothing.

Lanai & Pool Screens

Screens and cages hold mildew, pollen, and whatever the last storm blew through. We clean the mesh, the frame, the pavers, and the furniture, so the room your Mother-in-Law gets seated in passes too.

Post-Construction

Drywall dust is fine enough to ride the HVAC and settle again a week after you sweep. We clear it in passes through the final phases, so handover day survives a Mother-in-Law walk-through.

Answers before your Mother-in-Law asks

What is the Mother-in-Law Test?
The Mother-in-Law Test is the cleanliness standard every M.I.L. Cleaners visit is held to — the bar a sharp-eyed mother-in-law sets when she runs a finger along the shelf. No grit in the shower track, no fingerprints on the stainless fridge, baseboards you can run a finger along, dusted fan blades. It names the spots on purpose, so you can walk the house after a visit and check them yourself.
How much does house cleaning cost?
M.I.L. Cleaners prices by home size — you see your exact price on the site before you book, with no surprises on the invoice. Recurring plans save you more than one-time, and your first recurring visit is a deep clean so we start from a clean baseline.
How does pricing work?
Tell us your home size, the type of clean, and how often you'd like us. In a market we already serve, your price shows on that market's page before you book. Everywhere else the calculator takes the same details and a local team gives you the exact price on the spot, because each market sets its own rates. For a home in normal, lived-in condition, that price is what you pay. No hidden fees, no surprises on the invoice. The rare home that needs heavy extra work first gets a revised price you approve before we start, and nothing gets added after.
Are your cleaners background-checked and insured?
Yes. Every cleaner is background-checked (state and federal), interviewed in person, and trained to our checklist before they ever set foot in your home. That's the same standard you'd want before you handed someone a key. M.I.L. Cleaners is fully bonded and insured, and a Certificate of Insurance is available on request.
What happens if a clean misses something?
Tell your local crew what they missed and where, with a photo if you have one. You get a real person rather than a ticket queue. The same background-checked crew is back at your address next visit, which is the part that actually fixes it — they learn your home instead of rediscovering it. And nothing holds you here: there is no contract, so if the standard stops being met you can stop booking the same week.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Not at all. Most clients give us secure entry instructions when they book. Your card stays securely on file and is only charged after the service is complete, so there's nothing to hand over in person. Come home to a house that looks like your Mother-in-Law is already on her way over.

The same crew every visit, working a written room-by-room list, and one bar to clear: the fan blade, the shower track, the baseboard she would run a finger along.
