Questions, answered plainly

Pricing, the crew, the products we bring, and how the Mother-in-Law Guarantee actually works. If yours isn't here, call or text and a real person will pick it up.

What is the Mother-in-Law Test?
The Mother-in-Law Test™ is the cleanliness standard every MIL Cleaners visit is held to — the bar a sharp-eyed mother-in-law sets when she runs a finger along the shelf. No grit in the shower track, no fingerprints on the stainless fridge, baseboards you can run a finger along, dusted fan blades. If anything you report within 24 hours wouldn't pass the Test, we re-clean that area free.
How does the instant price work?
Tell us your home size, the type of clean, and how often you'd like us. The calculator shows a flat-rate price right on the page, no callback or in-home estimate required. For a home in normal, lived-in condition, that price is what you pay. No hidden fees, no surprises on the invoice. The rare home that needs heavy extra work first gets a revised price you approve before we start, and nothing gets added after.
Are your cleaners background-checked and insured?
Yes. Every cleaner is background-checked (state and federal), interviewed in person, and trained to our checklist before they ever set foot in your home. That's the same standard you'd want before you handed someone a key. MIL Cleaners is fully licensed, bonded, and insured, and a Certificate of Insurance is available on request.
What is the Mother-in-Law Guarantee?
Every clean has to pass the Mother-in-Law Test™, the standard a sharp-eyed Mother-in-Law would hold it to. If something falls short, tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and re-clean that area free. It's in writing. If the re-clean still isn't right, we credit or refund that visit. Your call.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Not at all. Most clients give us secure entry instructions when they book. Your card stays securely on file and is only charged after the service is complete, so there's nothing to hand over in person. Come home to a house that looks like your Mother-in-Law is already on her way over.
Do you bring your own supplies and products?
Yes, we bring everything. Our products are non-toxic and pet- and family-safe by default, at no extra charge. If you'd rather we use specific products you keep under the sink, just tell us and we will.
Are there contracts? Can I cancel anytime?
No contracts, ever. Recurring plans give you the best price, but you can pause, reschedule, or cancel anytime. We'd rather you stay because the house keeps passing than because you're locked in.
What's the difference between a standard clean and a deep clean?
A standard clean is regular upkeep of the whole home. A deep clean is a top-to-bottom reset that also covers baseboards, inside and behind appliances, descaled grout, AC vents, fans, and fixtures, which are the spots your Mother-in-Law checks when she thinks no one's watching. We require a deep clean as the first visit for new recurring clients so we start from a clean baseline.
Do you clean lanais, pool screens, and outdoor areas?
Yes. In our Florida and coastal service areas the lanai counts as part of the house, and your Mother-in-Law knows it. We clean screen enclosures, pool cages, lanai pavers, and the large sliders that collect salt film and pollen, as an add-on to your house clean or as a standalone service.
Can you handle Airbnb and vacation-rental turnovers?
Absolutely. We turn every property to the standard of your pickiest guest (linen swaps, restocking, staging photos, and a damage and low-supply report after every guest), plus managed monthly programs for hosts and property managers. See our For Hosts page.
How do I pay?
Securely online. We keep your card on file and only charge it after your clean is complete. New customers also get $35 off their first clean.
Can the price change once you see my home?
For a home in normal, lived-in condition, the flat rate you see is the price you pay. It only moves when a home needs substantial extra work first, like heavy buildup, post-construction or post-party debris, or a biohazard cleanup. In those cases we show you the adjusted price and get your okay before we start. Nothing extra ever shows up on the invoice after the fact.
